About me
I’m a journalist drawn to stories about the way that climate and environmental change impacts us as humans and as societies, and how communities, and institutions, and businesses are navigating that change. I have reported extensively from the US and Latin America on climate finance, deforestation, international climate policy, environmental conflicts, and conservation and have contributed as a researcher and fact-checker to a variety of different projects. Prior to being a freelancer, I worked producing nightly news for Vice News Tonight on HBO and supervising docuseries for SBS/Vice World. I was also a climate justice reporting fellow for High Country News. My work has been honored by the Front Page Awards, American Society for Journalists and Authors, Society for Environmental Journalists, National Association of Science Writers, One World Media, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and the Deadline Club.
I have Master of Environmental Science and before starting in journalism, I worked as a farmer and a food security consultant. I’m currently based in Brooklyn, New York.
